The Perks of Blogging

I never thought that blogging can be this fun and exciting. When I started blogging two years ago, my only motivation is to be able to write and document my little stories online.  There were even times that I was in hiatus due to my pregnancy but when I started updating my blog again, it seems like I can no longer stop and became addicted to it.

Honestly, I don't earn that much from blogging but it gives me a different sense of fulfillment whenever I blog. I don't intend to make blogging my source of bread and butter but I value every single dollar that I get from blogging and from my other online work.

The earning is just a bonus but the one thing that I miss the most whenever I can not check up on my blogs or update them is the bonding and the exchange of conversation I usually have with my blogpals. It is such a good feeling to know that you have friends where you can get support anytime you are feeling blue. Mind you, it is not just emotional support but sometimes financial too. Remember Bella's first birthday? :)

Another perk that comes with blogging is the opportunity to receive free stuff from across the globe in exchange of a blog post. I have received two postal notices from the postman yesterday requiring me to pick up the packages from China and the USA respectively. Firmoo sent another sunglasses for review and Copy Kids also sent a DVD for Bella. Both are given for free provided that I will make a review about the items. Just the thought that somebody values my opinion is a big thing for me already.

I blog not primarily because of money or  how much I am going to get or earn from what I am doing. What is more important for me is the fact that I could see myself being productive and doing the things that makes me happy....and that for me is what matters the most.

"fact that I could see myself being productive and doing the things that makes me happy....and that for me is what matters the most. " - oh rovs, we have the same thoughts on blogging. I was already blogging in Friendster before and not earning anything from it, but later, a friend showed me how to monetize from blogging, and I got hooked because the thought I can be productive doing the things that makes me happy regardless I earn or not makes me happy!!

Hi rovie, I never expected we have a lot in common. I'm also an online contractor (all around VA) and it's one of my main source of income for now aside from my net cafe in Gensan. Blogging is a labor of love as they say it and now I am more inspired to buy my own domain - next month :)

HI sis! Thanks for taking time to comment in my riablahgs.com blog. Well, blogging is really a fun activity to release the tension after a days work for me. It makes me churn that think-tank for ideas and the plus side is, I get to meet other bloggers with the same passion as I have and the extra finance and freebie stuff that goes with blogging.

I feel you! And it's something we could really get used to. I also started just because I wanted to journal my pregnancy and then the rest was history. Fun history. :)

Congratz Rovz! You do deserve it!

When I started out, the perks of blogging came second. It was primarily my passion to write (eventhough I am not a writer) that got me motivated to blog away my thoughts. But then when I met beautiful people like you, I got hooked. Blogging can be very meaningful when it's shared with genuine blogpals. Agree? And it becomes more motivating when we get some $$$ to compensate for the time and effort we have invested all through these years.

sis i love free stuff thats why im into this pitching lately!

It's really good to do the things we love and that includes blogging but it's much better to be compensated by doing it.
