Holy Week

This is the time where most Catholic believers spend time to reflect on how Jesus died on the cross to redeem us from sins. There are different ways of showing and giving back on what the Lord has done for us. Others do fasting and abstinence, attend station of the cross, visit churches, attend several church activities and many more.

As a Catholic, I used to join several church activities during holy week. Top activity for us during holy week is the "visita iglesia" or the church visitation wherein we roam around the city to visit churches. We also used to spend time in the church to hear the seven last words.

This holy week I can say that I am not that active in participating in any church activity. I wanted so much to attend but I can't leave home just that because I am breastfeeding Bella and if I bring her along I am anxious of exposing her in a place where there is a lot of people. I don't want to sound like making excuses but I believe that aside from doing the usual holy week activities I can show sacrifice in my own little way. I think that we don't have to wait for holy week to show atonement but we can actually do it every minute of everyday.

This holy week, I would like to thank the Lord for giving me His life. I would like to thank Him for giving us His unconditional love. I pray that He will cleanse and purify me and make me worthy to come before Him. I pray that He will give me the strenght to carry on my purpose in this world. Thank you Father for your great love.

Happy Easter everyone!
