Vaccination

It is a must for every parent to see to it that their babies are in perfect health. To be able to do that they should follow the vaccination guide given by the World Health Organization. Well- Off or can afford families preferred vaccines from their Pediatricians but those who are practical may avail vaccines from Health Centers.

Bella is already 5 months and 8 days old today and she is scheduled to have her last shot of DPT (Diphtheria,Pertussis, Tetanus), OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine), and Hepatitis B. As practical as I am ,I have decided to have her vaccinated at the health center near our place because it means saving more than P3,000.00. ;)

The vaccination went well though Bella had a mild fever but she is generally okay. I let her take a doctor prescribed Paracetamol every 6 hours. Bella's next vaccination schedule will be next month with PCV13 and shots of Rotavirus but those are no longer available in the Health Centers but be administered by her doctor.

There are still a lot of vaccines to be given but it is good to know that some are given free by the government through our barangay health centers.
