Davao City Vice-Mayor gives his blessing and full support full support for Hupong sa Tawong Lungsod’s official candidate Louie Bonguyan for Congressman of 1st District, Davao City.
BONGUYAN DENIES ILLEGAL POSTER CHARGES
Luis “ Louie” Bonguyan, candidate for Congressman for the 1st District, Davao City denied the accusation raised by the camp of Karlo B. Nograles that he and his camp posted election posters before the election campaign. This denial is in reaction to the front page of the Daily Mirror March 15, 2013 issue.
Former Vice-Mayor Bonguyan said “It’s pure and plain sabotage and a publicity stunt. It appears to be another demolition job by the opponent who in the past, has used “dirty tricks” and negative campaigning. I urge the mastermind of this trick not to resort to another repetition of these past “dirty tricks” and negative campaigning which didn’t work, and merely stick to issues related for the good of the people in the 1st District of Davao”, Bonguyan added.
“Their ‘poster allegation’ is an indication that the Nograles camp is now running scared because they are threatened by the overwhelming support of Acting Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and his political party, the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (Hugpong) for me and whose political machinery is a major factor in winning elections in Davao City. Even President Noy-Noy Aquino endorsed my candidacy as the official candidate of Team PNOY for Congressman in the first District of Davao City’, Bonguyan further added.
Bonguyan stressed “ I know the election laws and will never violate it”.
Bonguyan is the official candidate of the Hugpong, an affifliate of the Liberal Party, facing incumbent Congressman Karlo B. Nograles, 1st District of Davao City, whose political party is identified with the political party of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
