The Importance of Having Quality Alone Time

As people would say, motherhood is a 24/7 job and mothers are superheroes disguised in casual house clothes. From early in the morning until night time, most moms are busy: either juggling home and career life or focused on being a stay-at-home mom. You might wonder how they are able to do it and if they ever felt tired doing the same things every single day. Indeed motherhood is a calling that requires great patience and sacrifice.

But here’s the real deal: mothers don’t have super powers and they do get tired and exhausted too. Ever felt the need to just step back and not do the laundry? Or put those errands aside for a day and just have a good sleep? These feelings are pretty normal because moms need to rest and relax too. As a person, it is very important for anyone to spend some quality time alone. It allows you to focus on your well-being and have the time to ponder on some thoughts that you’ve been putting aside.

A "me time" last December...Actually preparing for the Bloggers Party...

Once a woman becomes a mother there’s that commitment to the family and it may take up most of your time but it also important to allocate some moment to be alone and have some “me time”. Never think of this as being selfish and feel guilty about it, the reality is that you really need to be alone sometimes in order to address your personal needs. It may be just for a few hours, a day or over the weekend, the duration of your personal time is not really essential, the important part is you are able to reconnect to yourself again.

Spend the day at a spa, get a massage or travel and escape the city life. Make sure to have activities planned out on how you want to spend your free time. Remember that this is very important in order to feel renewed and relaxed. Once you come back, you’ll have a new perspective and have the motivation to continue on your role as a wife and mother.

I'm not a Mom nor a wife yet. Pero bilib talga ako sa mga Nanays out there. You're right. Sa dami ng ginagawa ninyong mga ina ng tahanan, it's imperative to sometimes pamper yourselves. :)

Have a great day! :)

Being a mom is really a 24/7 task. Yes it's tough but in some other aspects it is worth dying especially when you think about the kids.
