Meet The Coffee Chic

Blogging has changed my life in so many ways especially when I became a full-time homemaker. It allows me to reach the world and meet true and genuine people who in turn became my real friends. Friends I met in the blogosphere are seldom seen personally but I can really feel the warmth of their friendship and that's where I draw strength and inspiration when the world is not on my side.

Some few months ago, Bren and I were invited to one of my best blogpal's home to attend her brother's birthday. We are touched with the gesture because being invited in one's home made us feel important and even grateful considering that I only met this blogpal once during the blogger's party last December and take note... it's not her birthday but  her brother's =)...

We enjoyed the food and the company because this blogpal and her family warmly welcome us in their home even giving more importance to us than their other visitors. The food served during the party are all delicious especially her mom's home made chocolate cake. Sorry, haven't had the chance to take some pictures on the food. =(

Now, meet this pretty and lovely blogpal of mine... ALGENE.
With Algene in their living room...

Thank you very much for your family's generosity Gene. Bren and I surely had a great time. Looking forward to see you more often. Praying for your success online and offline. Hugs!

Friends Worth Keeping

I admit that am a bit choosy when it comes to friends. I  don't want to invest much emotion on friends because I know that they come and go, but if I the person is worth keeping I don't even give a second thought about it. I would prefer having  few but true friends than having a lot but some are not true and can only remember  when they need something from you.

I am glad that among the friends I consider in my previous work, I have these persons whom I can say my true and loyal allies, Julz and Exper.

Exper and Julz...

For professional and personal reasons, I don't usually make friends with people at work but Julz and Exper are an exemption. They are actually my workmates who became allies which in turn became my good friends. They are almost a family to me. I am not afraid of showing them I care because I know that they are worth keeping and the friendship that we have will  surely go a long way.

I thank the Lord for people like them and I am very blessed to have them as  friends. I am happy knowing that they have the same love, respect and admiration for me as I have for them. Thank you so much guys for your friendship.

The Importance of Having Quality Alone Time

As people would say, motherhood is a 24/7 job and mothers are superheroes disguised in casual house clothes. From early in the morning until night time, most moms are busy: either juggling home and career life or focused on being a stay-at-home mom. You might wonder how they are able to do it and if they ever felt tired doing the same things every single day. Indeed motherhood is a calling that requires great patience and sacrifice.

But here’s the real deal: mothers don’t have super powers and they do get tired and exhausted too. Ever felt the need to just step back and not do the laundry? Or put those errands aside for a day and just have a good sleep? These feelings are pretty normal because moms need to rest and relax too. As a person, it is very important for anyone to spend some quality time alone. It allows you to focus on your well-being and have the time to ponder on some thoughts that you’ve been putting aside.

A "me time" last December...Actually preparing for the Bloggers Party...

Once a woman becomes a mother there’s that commitment to the family and it may take up most of your time but it also important to allocate some moment to be alone and have some “me time”. Never think of this as being selfish and feel guilty about it, the reality is that you really need to be alone sometimes in order to address your personal needs. It may be just for a few hours, a day or over the weekend, the duration of your personal time is not really essential, the important part is you are able to reconnect to yourself again.

Spend the day at a spa, get a massage or travel and escape the city life. Make sure to have activities planned out on how you want to spend your free time. Remember that this is very important in order to feel renewed and relaxed. Once you come back, you’ll have a new perspective and have the motivation to continue on your role as a wife and mother.

A Treasured Friendship

As I was looking for some photos and thinking of what to post in my blog, I have come across this pictures... a quick picture-taking with Flo during our momentous reunion after sixteen long years.

A treasure moment with my dearest friend...
I am so thankful that Flo took an effort to see me during her Davao Trip. There's a lot of stories to tell and a lot of old memories to remember but time didn't allow us to do so but what is important is we have finally saw each other after sixteen years. Yes, sixteen long years of not seeing each other but we have managed to keep our friendship intact.

I believe that there are friendship that lasts a lifetime and one of those is ours. I think no words can best describe our friendship but the title of this post. This is actually a borrowed phrase from Flo's blog post about this reunion. Thank you friend. Hope to see you again soon. I love you.

Thank you Sis Krizza for the First Comment...

Mission Accomplished

My day started early because I usually woke up late. It usually starts at around 10:00AM but today is different. I need to be up earlier than the usual because I have a lot of things to do. Top of the list are the bank transactions I need to finish on behalf of my husband.

Here's the long list of the things that needs to be done today.... (1) Get clearance at the Barangay Hall, (2) Photocopy  documents for the car, (3) Submit requirements at AMPC, (4) Follow up Philhealth Claims, (5) Go to Banco de Oro and RCBC... and the list goes on...

this made my day...

It is such a long day for me but I believe that nothing is impossible if you start moving. I somehow miss busy days  especially when I decided to stay at home to be a full time mom but nothing is so fulfilling than seeing your baby grow before your very eyes. I thank God for giving me strenght to survive this day and I did not just survived it , I conquered it. Mission Accomplished!  Before heading home, I rewarded myself with a fries and spaghetti at  McDonalds. It made my day complete.
