The 2nd Davao Bloggers Acquaintance Party

Blogging is maybe one of the best things that has ever happened to my life. Its coming is just perfect especially during the time when I was pregnant, out of work and feeling unproductive while starting my career as a full-time homemaker in 2010. Thanks to Ate Claire who have introduced me to the amazing world of blogging. At first, I started blogging to ease away boredom since I am not really used to just sit down without doing anything at home but later on as I continuously  update  my blog and met a lot of friends online, I have realized that there is so much more to blogging than just a mere pastime.

My blogging life has become even more exciting when my friend Floraine added me to the Davao Bloggers Group on Facebook last 2011. Even with the several events that I have attended in the past, I was hesitant to become an official member then because I thought that it won’t make any difference at all considering that I can still get to attend events even if I am not an official member. But I suddenly have a change of mind and heart when I attended the Blog Weekend Bootcamp last September 2012. Before the bootcamp ended, I made sure to pay the registration fee and be one of the dignified official members of the Davao Bloggers Society. Hooray!

And the happiest of all is.... ME! Hahaha
And when I was finally inducted as one of the newest official members of the Davao Bloggers Society during the Acquaintance Party last May 3, 2013, I can’t help but be proud of myself. Hehehe. I know that being an official member entails a lot of responsibility and I am so grateful for the effort of the founders and officers of the DB Society for consistently  reminding their members to act with decorum especially during events. Thank you Sir Mark Cabrera for presenting the Bloggers Manifesto that serves as the guiding principle for every DB member.

Adgitize Is Closing

I was so shocked  to see my Adgitize ads today stating  that Adgitize is closing. I immediately checked and log in into my Adgitize account  and I was just greeted by the post that says that indeed adgitize is closing. Adgitize have stopped showing ads since the 1st day of January this year. The announcement was made by Mr. Ken Brown last December 27, 2011. Adgitize's website will only serve its publishers and advertisers until the 31st of January 2012.

It saddens me to see Adgitize go because it really generates traffic for my blogs. I was once an advertiser and advertising with Adgitize  really worked for me. Now that that adgitize is closing and previously the CMF Ads; as a blogger, the only venue left for me  to promote my blog now  is  through Entrecard. I guess it's time to get serious with dropping ECs now that Adgitize is gone.

To those  who still have a few bucks left from Adgitize, please click HERE to know the complete details.

My Adgitize Account Is Back!

It really  feels  great when something you have worked for has paid off. I've posted about my Adgitize account having suspended due to the popup ads that appears on my blog every time you open it. I have been working on it for several days  but couldn't seem to resolve it.

Just the other day, in my post about the clicksor thing I said that I am hopeful that the concern is already answered. Indeed it is! After removing rankwidget from my blog, Adgitize reinstated it. Mr. Ken Brown has even used the word "Bingo" for making me solve the problem. And  the culprit? Rankwidget.com! Once again guys, please double check if you have widgets from rankwidget.

There's An Unwanted Clicksor PopUp Ads On My Blog

A few days ago, I received an email from Adgitize informing me that my account  was turned off due to some unwanted popup ads. I first  thought  that they were just talking about the BlogUpp Ad I posted on my blog so I went right ahead and remove it. But when I requested Adgitize to check on my blog again I was informed that the problem was still there.

I tried removing all the recent ads I posted on my blog but still to no avail. I made some research on how to address this and I was brought back to my computer's settings. It said that  maybe it has something to do with my  popup blocker setting. Having done all the process stated on the article,  I was confident enough to request for another consideration from Adgitize but then again the popup ads  were still alive and kicking! Adgitize was actually considerate enough to give me suggestions on how to address it but for the nth time... still nothing changed.

I was thinking where did this problem came from since I couldn't see those ads from my own computer. Is it possible that all of you reading  my blog are the ones who can see it? Is this geographically set? I mean why are my friends from the US can see it but I never heard anything from my friends following my blog  from here in the Philippines?
